• Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported a jump of 104 cases and five more deaths. That brings the country's total to 169,496 cases and 17,489 fatalities.
• China's National Health Commission reported it had 67 new confirmed cases, and six more deaths as of March 25. All the new cases were imported.
• Spain has reported over 169,496 cases in the last 24 hours while its death toll has risen to 4,089, as of Thursday. Spain's death toll has now surpassed China, days after Italy overtook China.

As of 28 March 2020, there have been 73,232 confirmed cases with 12,285 recoveries and 5,982 deaths in Spain according to authorities.^[4] At least 4,575 hospitalised people are in intensive care and more than 350,000 tests for COVID-19 have been conducted.^[4][9] Since 13 March 2020, there have been registered cases in all 50 provinces of the country. Only on the islands of La Graciosa (Canary Islands) and Formentera (Balearic Islands) have there been no registered positive cases.^[4] As of late March, the Madrid region has recorded the most cases and deaths in the country. Medical professionals and those who live in retirement homes have experienced especially high infection rates.^[10] On 25 March 2020, the death toll in Spain surpassed that of mainland China; only Italy has a higher death toll globally.^[11]
